Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Bookfynder. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Bookfynder.

1. What Bookfynder is

Bookfynder is a reading-tracker and AI-powered book recommendation app. You can log books you're reading, track progress and stats, and receive personalized recommendations generated by an AI model based on your reading history.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use Bookfynder.
• One person, one account — don't create accounts for others without their permission.

3. AI-generated recommendations

Recommendations, including details like page count, author, or publication year, are generated by an AI model and may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. Bookfynder makes no guarantee of accuracy for AI-generated content. Always verify important details independently before relying on them.

4. Subscriptions & billing

• Bookfynder offers a Free plan and a paid Pro subscription, billed monthly.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never store your card details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each monthuntil canceled. You can cancel any time from the Billing page — you'll keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period.
• Prices may change with notice; continued use after a price change means you accept the new price.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for anything illegal or harmful.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data.
• Interfere with or disrupt the app's infrastructure.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the service without permission.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the data you add (books, notes, ratings). By using Bookfynder, you give us permission to store and process that data solely to provide the service to you — including sending relevant parts of it to our AI provider to generate your recommendations.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Account settings — this permanently removes your data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

Bookfynder is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bookfynder isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
